Partnership with Parents

"A home-school policy is probably the most important policy for any school, because it recognises parents as a child`s first and most important educators. Schools can make a huge difference to children's lives, and if they work in partnership with parents then all children will achieve more of their potential." ACE Bullletin No.71 June 1996.

"St. Saviour's has excellent links with parents" (OFSTED October 1997)

Our aim is to involve parents as partners in their children's learning not only by encouraging them to support their children's work at home, but also by helping them to understand the school's curriculum and the teaching it provides; and to take a full part in the decisions affecting their children.

Parents are also invited to: Class Assemblies, Prayer Services, School Masses, Sports day, Coffee afternoons, Summer fairs.

We endeavour to provide a programme involving parents directly in the life of the school, in acquiring skills, and becoming co-educators with the school staff.
