CAFOD
-
CAFOD
(Catholic Aid For Overseas Development) is the official development and
relief agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales. As a school
we do fund raising on a regular basis through the CAFOD collecting tin
into which the children and staff of our school put small amounts of change.

There
are annual appeals at Harvest and during Lent when CAFOD sends us booklets and
other educational material such as posters and videos. These
are used to raise children's awareness of poverty and need in the developing
world. This
year we have sent over £1000.00 to CAFOD and this money has been raised
by the children themselves as they have organised competitions and activities.
Particularly successful this year was the Bring and Buy sale during Lent. The
sale of books, toys, cakes and refreshments raised over £200.00.
